Laura Wisniewski has been a registered nurse since 1979. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Leadership
from National- Louis University and a certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology. Laura is an accomplished Toastmaster
and a graduate of the Central Florida NSA Speaker's Academy.
Laura's has over 25 years of diverse nursing experience including: critical
care, ER, infection control and staff development. Her career spans open heart units and ER/ trauma centers. She was
working as a nurse for the Kennedy Space Center at the time of the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster. In a former life she
was an EMT/ paramedic for a volunteer ambulance squad--where she met her husband Matt, who is also a nurse.
Laura is employed as a clinical training specialist for a large healthcare organization
and is the owner of Nursing Voice Seminars. She is a proud member of the National Nurses in Staff Development Organization
and the National Speakers Association.
She created Nursing Voice Seminars with the purpose of providing
empowering, solution oriented presentations for nurses. Laura inspires and challenges nurses to improve healthcare
within their circle of influence via her teaching, speaking and writing. She is a featured writer for Nursing Link, a division
of Monster Worldwide.
Laura
and Matt enjoy kayaking and sailing near their home in Clearwater, Florida.
